Maybe this thread has been made already, but I have not seen it and have read all pages. But there was a lot to go thru, so I apaologise if this has been done before.
Anyway. I thought that the time has come to share our favourite settings on our pedals, or our favourite settings for a sertain kind of sound.
I hate rules, but I think that its a must if this will work. So: Write all settings as a clock and write down the controls from left to right like this:
SD-1 (natural cruch) Level: 12 Tone: 12 Drive: 12
12 in this case means that the pointer is right up or 50% if you like. But I prefer the clock cause its always easy to understand. If there is a mode-switch it works too.
Looking forward to your shared settings! |

Most of those settings sounded pretty good in front of my solid state amp, but pretty average in front of my tube amp - just a heads up.

Cool! Thanks for the other tips. Just a question. When you write Level: 7 to me it sounds like the level is set at zero. Is it possible that you mean 5 instead - at maximum?

My reply is on Fabius' style (noblesse oblige):

OD-3 Level 10 oc Tone 1 oc Drive 9 oc

RV-5 E-Level 9 oc Tone 3 oc Time 12 oc Mode Hall
These settings are intended to be used at home, believe me or not I haven't try my p.b. live yet!
These times are intended +1 on Greenwich time (Rome, Paris, etc.)
"No Animals Were Harmed on the creation of these pedals.
I will not reveal my TU-2 settings! |

Eheheheh... I can't 'cause I haven't.

Thanks
but I could do more better if I have the original Boss fonts for the pedals titles and if I'll find the way to do a good dither on the inside of the knob, as the gold in the OD-3 or TR-2 or the silver in the others.

Yes - fantastic work on the graphics Fabius! Do you have any more pedals drawn, or just those two?
EDIT: nevermind! I just found the thread with the graphics! Thank you Fabius! Very much appreciated!

This is WAY off topic, but here goes... My favorite settings for an SD-1.
Take a soldering iron and do the following (it won't matter what you set the knobs to afterwards, it will sound good!)
C1: 1F C2: 0.056F C3: 0.22F C4: 0.147F (0.1F + 0.047F in parallel) C5: 0.147F (0.1F + 0.047F in parallel) C7: 22F tantalum C8: 22F tantalum C10: 22F tantalum R5: 10K R6: 1K R7: 1K R9: 1K R10: jumper R11: 1K R16: jumper R17: 470K Drive pot: 100K LOG Tone pot: 5K LIN Level pot: 100K LOG C6: remove C-NEW: 0.47F monoblock across C11 (stabilizes 4.5V rail) R4: 1M R18: 10k (stabilizes 4.5V rail) R19: 10k (stabilizes 4.5V rail) R30: 6k8 (for LED) LED: BRIGHT WHITE

Hi all
CS-3 ................. Volume.... 3 o'clock
Tone.... 1 o'clock
Attack....5 o'clock..(all the way)
Sustain.... 10 o'clock
CE-2 .............
Rate... 10'o clock
Depth..... 3 o'clock
TR-2 ..............
Rate... usually around 10 o'clock
Depth.... 3 o'clock
Wave.... 1 o'clock
DD-3's ...............
E.Level on both about 10'clock
F.Back..... 10 o 'clock (although i do change all the settings on the newer one for multi taps and deeper echo and repeats for some of the 80's stuff on gigs)
D.Time... usually No.1 set at around 10'clock and No.2 at around 2 o'clock cascading one into the other for satriani type ambience instead of reverb....although for the rockabilly/country stuff i set the older one onto the 200 ms setting with ..
Effect... 11 o'clock
F.Back... 0
D.Time.... 1 o'clock
the newer one is my 'multitap' pedal for gilmour/Edge type delays as i find it a cleaner sounding echo than the older one with is more analog to my ears, the LS-2 level controls for the loops are set at around 1 o'clock........

Hi Fabius!
I have never said this before, but you do an awasome job on that graphocs!
For me it would be heaven on earth to have those for all pedals to write down a settings-list for all pedals at the board, so even a roadie could set the pedals as they should be after adjusting themselves on transport to gigs.
I have noticed that you have a own thread with pedals on the forum. But is it possible to make these "settings-memo" pics too? And in a way to set the marker (but that can be written on a printed paper, so that would not be a problem) Do you have these? Or can I "buy" them somewhere?
I hope that I have explained it so that you understand. My english is not that good always. Short, I think that have pics like the one you posted below for each pedal wold be perfect for a controlfreak like me.

Thanks Shoegazers,
any job I do, I do with passion, otherway I dont!
Don't be afraid of your english mine it's absolutely the baddest of this forum.
As I wrote in a post days ago I haven't problem to create a sort of memo-board to write settings, but there are other sorts of problem:
- I can't create ANY kind of Boss pedals 'cause I didn't ALL pedals: some are very laborious and hard to do.
- I could create three, four prototypes of the basic pedals: three knobs, four knobs and so on... but also in this way there are problems, for example OD-3, DS-1 and CS-2 are both 3 knobs but OD-3 has (left to right) Level, Tone, Drive; DS-1 has Tone, Level, Dist; and CS-2 has Level, Attack, Sustain. I can't continues for many other pedals, without mention four knobs pedals (DD-3, RV-5, etc.).
The only solution that I can find at now is something like this:

In the three small boxes you can write the name of the effect In the big box you can write the name of the pedal In the three knobs you can draw a line as you set in your pedal
