Wouldn't you know, I've been waiting for a nice VB-2 and an PQ- 4 for well over a week and right after I buy a bitchen 1997 Gibson Silverburst SG only 400 made.
In comes a beautiful VB-2

$12 dollars for shipping from Japan is nice. To bad there is a reserve on the PQ-4. It's probably set super high.

Is it just me or does the pics of the VB-2 look like they've been touched up?


Maybe they just sharpened the photo up a little bit...I dunno...just looks a little doctored up to me.
Don't get me wrong though; I'm watching it...

That's a distinctly lighter BLUE than the VB-2 usually exhibits.. it may have faded in the sun? (on display forever?)

I love the Silverburst stuff. I wish I'd grabbed a Custom, Classic Custom, or RD when I had the chance. One of the ONLY 70s/80s Gibsons that has risen in value!! Hopefully these limiteds go up as well.

Something is quite wrong here... it is the colour of a CE-2 and the printing doesn't feel right. The VB-2 is WAY darker - if it was sun exposure, it wouldn't be so consistent.

Unless they have overprocessed the pic, this looks like a respray to me...

I'm holding my VB-2 up to the screen to compare it to this light-coloured one.. hmm. I'm trying to identify a problem in the thickness of the lettering, but I could be imagining things.

The colour is SO off. If it was photoshopped lighter, the lettering and background would have likely become blown-out highlights. weird.
