| I've been reading up on the BOSS Twin Pedal series. BOSS say they've put all their years of experience into them, making them some of the finest effects they've ever produced. Most reviews on Harmony Central are very positive yet I haven't come accoss much being said about them in this forum. Is there a particular reason for this?? Is it because they're nowhere near the originals they try to model? Or is it something else?? |

I just don't think that anybody got around to it. I've tried them. The OD-20 has some really cool distortions. I'd buy that one. The CE-20 sounds cool on some settings, but nothing great to my ears. The DD-20 is the best of them all, lots of different models (Dm-2, twist, warp, dual) and lots of delaytime on hand. I really like that one. |

Personally I haven't tried any of the twin pedals, and honestly I probably won't unless someone decides to give them to me for free. The modeled version supposedly aren't very accurate, and I have enough of the real pedals to not care much about that, but the only reason I would have bought any twin pedals would have been to not have to take my vintage pedals out to live gigs. Maybe they aren't as bad as some people say, and maybe they'll release updated versions some time soon, but for now I'll stick with the compact pedals.
If you do end up getting any of the twin pedals, I'd love to hear what you think of them though! |

| I was thinking of getting a CE-20 because I need a chorus pedal and thought it would be cool to have a CE-1 and DC-2/3 all in one box! If the modelling isn't great tho I think I'll just put the money towards a DC-3. |

I have the DD-20 and I like it very much, really good for looping music (ala Fripp/Eno). 23 seconds of delay.... I also have the Loopstation (LC-20??), well it has some shortcomings... |

I haven't tried any of these. They're COSM modelers, right?
I'm not a big fan of that but I can't really slag them off when I haven't tried them. I'm afraid that buying all choruses (or overdrives, delays etc) in one pedal takes the fun out of collecting the original stompboxes.

Dont know if they are COSM or not. I will check it. But the delay are a fantastic pedal, really versatile. 4 memories for different settings are very useful. |

| So Goran, if you could have only one delay pedal, would it be a Compact DD/DM or the Twin Pedal DD-20?! |

Not an easy one... But for the broad band of possibilities I would have DD-20 even if both DD-2 and certainly DM-2 are better for what they CAN do. But DD-20 can do so much more, in one pedal (or two, twins...) DD-20 is a very funny toy anyway... |

| Thanks for that Goran. I suppose it's a trade-off between quantity over quality! |

Yeah, youre right about that. The box are of a little lower quality than the compacts, but not bad in any way. The inside quality I know nothing about. But for the money you get an excelent delay, I prefer it before Line 6 delays. Ther are some "stupid" delays in DD-20, like the Warp, but its fun anyway. Try it out in a store and see for yourself. As I said earlier, this is really a nice toy to play around with. |

I like the idea of having four presets. That way you can set and forget. I alsolike the fact that the DD-20 can be set for -4Db or +12Db for efects loops. I do agree that the warp is kinda useless, I like the tape, analog, dual, and standard delay settings. Just set em up in the presets and you have four different delays. The delay trails also finish out after you bypass the effect. they really got the DD-20 right. an all around good delay. |

I agree to 100 %, DD-20 is right all the way. I tested it against DM-2 and DD-2 yesterday. The analog version on DD-20 dont sound as fat as the DM-2, but not far away. The standard delay on DD-20 is just about the same as DD-2, a little brighter, but there is a tone control on DD-20. Also worth mentioning, the reverse delay is great, backwards guitar on a stomp. |
