Ok so I gutted my CS2 a long time ago for a multieffects project.
Basically, I think what happened to it is that it got some type of bad power or reverse polarity and it died, nothing would pass, no LED nothing.
So, with help from some other members, I have replaced D1 and C11 which I was told to do.
Well i did that and still no signal passing. I have removed the right leg of Q7 as I was told that was the "always on" mod for the CE2 and TR2 (and it worked on those) so i think it should work on this as well.
I also have removed the CS2's "pot pcb" and just followed the traces to each pot and used the wires going directly from the main PCB to the pots, instead of using the standoffs etc. I dont think there are any mistakes here.
Interestingly if i plug an LED into hole 15 and ground it to a jack or anything, the LED lights up! SO, i think the board is getting power now....so why isnt it passing signal?? UGH what a pain! |

Hi Sjaltenb
I know it's not the answer you may want to hear, but I think it's time to get out the Signal generator, Scope & the Schematic.
I hope you can appreciate, some faults are very hard to pinpoint, just using email. I you are able to isolate where the signal gets lost, that's a good start.
Do you have the Schematic? Maybe post some pics.
We will try to help you out where we can.
Regards Dr. Bob |

Unfortunately, i dont have the equipment or the know-how to do this.
I would be willing to pay anyone a good bit plus shipping each way to fix this thing!!! Please!!!
I hate to buy a new one when im sure this could be fixed fairly easily, I just dont know how!!!
