Hi TKO Ken quote:
It's called fittingly enough, New Penny RG470(NP)
btw, the RG1550? maple neck?
Yes it's a Maple neck - Prestigue series. I don't know if it's the wizard or Wizard II neck shape. But I could look it up.
I know there has been some talk, about one of the Wizard or (II) necks not being very good???
My other Son Chris, the one that plays classical guitar now, has a JS-100 (Cherry Red) & really signed by the man himself.
Chris always wishes that the JS had the hardware off the 1550 on it. Something about the LoPro trem?
The 1550 7 the JS have both been setup professionally by my guitar Tech. The 1550 is amazing into my old Fender Tube amp. The JS has a very comfortable compound shaped neck.
Why do you ask about the Maple neck? Is it one of your preferences, or something else?
I will have to keep an eye out for an Ibanez in that New Penny colour. Although I doubt many would have been shipped to Australia. That is such an eye catching & pleasing colour.

just woundering if it might have a rosewood fingerboard, I have never seen one on a 1550. The New Penny body show up on the"Bay" now and again so keep an eye out if you're looking for one. There is also a great silver and a (i can't beleive i'm saying this) a great looking purple There's a cool bronze too. It's cool your boys both play guitar.. I have two 5 and 7 and they could care less about guitar, in fact my youngest wants to play d...d....d.....drums...............NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo......... They have machines that can do that!!! I was hoping to give my guitars to them some day. Oh well |
