I use a Ibanez GIO mainly. Equiped with a stock neck PUP, a Seymour Duncan bridge PUP, and a GK-3 PUP.

I also own a Fender Squire Strat, a Samick acoustic, a Jay Turser Mosrite rip off, and a Vinci Signature bass.

Someday I'll update the pickups on the Turser and Vinci.

I shall to re-new my Gear page on my website (having time).

As I wrote many times I was pro, so...

Electrics:

- Gibson Les Paul (1994 with a different serial number for the 100th years)

- Fender Stratocaster American Standard with Sperzel keys and a Seymour Duncan "Li'l Screamin' Devil" on the bridge with switcher on the tune knob

- Ibanez JEM777 FP a.k.a Steve Vai

- Cort Steinberger "tootbrush" replica modified, re-painted and with two Di Marzio pickups

- Ibanez Destroyer X Series my Heavy Metal period in the early 80s

- Westone Gibson Les Paul Studio replica with two Gibson pickups, Grover keys and re-painted purple. My first electric guitar: I love this guitar like myself, my mother bought it in 1980 although she was widow with four sons to grow and money wasn't enough... start the violins and snow effect (I know here in Rome snow it's rare, but it gives a better desperate atmosphere).

Acoustics:

- Yamaha CPX7 "COMPASS" limited edition

- EKO RANGER 12 (strings) an old and good italian company

- Yamaha APX7CN out of production, one of the best classical at a good price

- Yamaha APX T1N "TRAVEL" out of production, easy to travel and a good sound when it's plugged in

Hi Fabius

Only one word ... WW

Must have taken you a while to get that collection.

Hey Fabius
I have an Italian Eston 6 string acoustic, can't find the model number.
Do you know much about this brand?
I found it, thrown out in a pile of rubbish
at the front of a house near my old home.
I asked if I have it, It was treated badly, but with some care
I did a quick fix, It plays very well, I have only seen One other one on evilBay.
My friends all play it when they come over, it's a very heavy guitar
& looks well made.

I really would like to know some more about it.

Regards Dr. Bob

Sure, it's a model from Australia imported by the submentioned EKO. I can remember a replica of my EKO 12 strings done by this brand. You can find infos in the site of one of my friends dedicated to the old italian (but not only) guitars:

http://www.fetishguitars.com

it's bi-lingual (english and italian) click to "EKO + Vox", click to "100..." on the right menu you can find "Eston - Australia".

I don't know the price of this guitar, but I give you a suggest: keep it care.

There's also this site: http://www.greatguitars.com.au/

Finally to have more infos about my gear there's my personal site, but the gear section (Strumentazione), it's stopped to at least 3 years ago and it's only in italian... just for now.

Please don't quote the entire message to reply, I'm administrator and moderator since the dawn of Fidonet and internet and I hate it!

I mainly play bass but I do have a few guitars:

70s Custom (Ibanez) Les Paul copy w/ Dimarzios, which is a really great guitar.
Epiphone Gothic model explorer, which is for sale.
Acoustic made by Stagg, which is actually pretty nice for home use with a set of Rotosound bronzewounds. Lately the A-string tuner is rattling loose though.

Bass wise:

Fender usa precision w/ Duncan 1/4 pound PU, straplocks and Hipshot detuner.
Samick precision copy w/ more mods than I can count

for metal i use my Ibanez GIO that i repainted/upgraded recently. it sounds amazing.

i have a few others.. i have a Jackson Soloist SL-1 that i absolutely HATE but i keep it around to work on. im thinking of wiring up a momentary killswitch and ill probably do it on that one.
