I actually collect HP Calculators! Well, not seriously but I have a few. Got some from the "C" series - 10C, 11C, 12C and 15C. Also have a 28S, 48SX, 32Sii, 48S, 42C. Just keep coming across them and have to buy them. Used them through high school and Uni. Actually took a student loan to buy the 28S! Took me months to repay it too!

Anyway, back to the topic! My pedals like to go on "holiday". By that I mean they like to visit the various rooms in my house. Sometimes I'll have a few on display in the lounge room, in the bedroom. Never in the bathroom or laundry though! Too much moisture. Soemtimes they get lonely and like to go back to the music room and settle down into their boxes. And, my CE-2 and MT-2 just DO NOT GET ALONG!!! Can never have them in the same room. Little buggers. Start pushing each other off the shelves. Poor little CS-2 just won't be spearated from it's older brother CS-1. I think they need counselling

Or maybe that's ME who needs the counselling!!!

Hi Stratman
You are now the third person that I know, that uses RPN let alone knows what it is.
The 32Sii was my next dream HP calc. what is your opinion on it, as I was going to buy it untested & blind; As they didn't have one in stock.

If you ever come across another 32Sii, please let me know.
For now I will still use the 15C.
And I was once & i suppose I still am, trying to find a complete HP16C

As for you pedals... Well maybe there is just no therapy other than to buy or acquire more Boss pedals.
Perhaps you should send them on holidays to visit other brands of pedals...
Come one Stratman, I know you have other brands of pedals, Don't be ashamed to tell us.

Regards Dr. Bob

Stratman, did you take the Monday off, & have a 4 day long, Melbourne Cup Day --- long weekend?
I Did

Hey Dr Bob,

Yep, love using RPN (I did a Maths/Comp Sci degree and used them all the time through Uni).

The 32Sii is very nice. It has a very solid feel too. (Geez this is a DORKY conversation!!! ). Anyway, I'd definitely recommend them.

I've got a few other pedals. JH-1 crybaby (modded a bit), EHX Small Stone, TC Jauernig "Gristle King" (twin OD and Boost) - one of my favourite pedals and some others...

I really love the BOSS ones and am very impressed with the sound of most.

Unfortunately I didn't take a long weekend but had to put money on "Delta Blues" . Didn't win much, enough to buy a new pedal perhaps!

Hi Stratman

I'm glad that you won something on the Melbourne Cup.
I didn't make any bets, I saved my money & then spent it on some new acquisitions.

I will post them into the new pedals thread later.

I have a really really old & original purchase, Jen CryBaby, the ones, before Jim Dunlop acquired the license for them
Unfortunately the 100K pot is no longer working, I have looked at replacing it with the current recommended HotPot sealed potentiometer.
But Man they want $60 to $70 Aust. just for the part.
And I really can't come to paying that much for a sealed pot.

So the Crybaby is resting for 20 years now & it's got the RED FASEL inductor in it as well. , in fact I never really got to use it much, as the original unsealed pot failed within the first year, that I bought it, I was younger then & I was naive, I may have got it repaired under warranty.

Anyone out there, have a second hand 100K pot for an old Crybaby
Cheap, Free, Beg, Barter, Borrow, Steal.

Some of my friends have had their crybaby's doing the boogie for 15 years or more.
I really would liove to get it working again.

My pedals' home is floor space in my room, but they travel in a suitcase I got for a dollar at an antiques store. They all fit very nicely. One of the best dollars I ever spent.
