He took the chassis out of the head to take a pic of the internals! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Now he's ruined it!!!!!!
(My impersonation of a typical ebay buyer)
So, from what I can see, he lives in a second floor apartment in Brooklyn. Hard to believe this rig didn't get much use.

1991 Mesa Boogie early issue (these were first manufactured in 1990) Mark IV guitar amplifier stack in near mint condition!!! I have had numerous questions about selling the compoments of the stack seperately, so here goes: I will sell the head for 1600 plus 30 dollars shipping, the 4x12 cabinet for 500 plus 100 dollars shipping and the 2x12 cabinet for 400 plus 75 dollars shipping. This stack features the rarer, more sought-after "wide" or long head with more of the controls in the front, a 4x12 halfback bottom and a 2 x 12 halfback top cabinet! the top and the top hald of the bottom are loaded with legendary Mesa Black Shadow speakers! Not sure the make of the bottom 2 speakers but will try to find out before this listing ends. Purchased from original owner, a family guy who purchased it new from Sam Ash in 1991 and babied it, using it only lightly at very low volume! Includes footswitch, casters, head cover, and STILL HAS ORIGINAL MESA TUBES (they don't make 'em like they used to--these older tubes are FAR superior) which work great since the amp has seen such little use (and since the head was kept covered--makes a BIG difference in both internal and external condition in older amps!) After serving 29 years as Mesa's flagship model the Mark IV has been discontinued, so they are VERY collectable and gaining in value! These early issue models will be the most collectable as this tens to be the case with earlier issues of musical gear and many feel that current production quality doesn't measure up to the older models! You would be hard pressed to find one of these in cleaner condition! Pots just sprayed out (didn't really need it as they were not scratchy, but I was already inside taking pics) so they are nice and clean! One of the doohickies (the technical term for little clasps) that the footswitch attaches to the back of amp with is missing (more often that not the case with these amps) but it can be attached with the remaining one or simply placed in the back of one of the open back cabinets. This stack is in GREAT shape for an 18 year old amp. The head is basically in mint, immaculate condition with NO wear or tears or in the tolex, and NO dents in the heads faceplate or knobs. Likewise, the footswitch is free of dents and dings! I've owned a BUNCH of Mark IV's and usually even if the rest of the amp is really clean the footswitch will be somewhat banged up since the footswitch is stomped on and gets banged around when the amp is moved. Not the case with the super-ckean footswitch found here! The cabinets have only a few small tears in the tolex and a little light wear. These are great sounding, powerful and versatile amps! Mesa amps in general are known to have a lot of power for their size, but the Mark IV in particular packs a lot of power! Great deal on a hard to find, early issue, great sounding Mark IV stack! Get your Mark IV while you can! Buy it now !!!

Payment due within one week of the end of auction. Shipping is 250 dollars with insurance included to the lower 48 states. Local pickup is fine but item must still be paid for within 1 week and picked up within 1 week of payment. Shipping costs on a case-by-case basis for the non-continental US (Alaska HI). I will not ship this item without insurance. For purchases paid for with Paypal I will take the item to my shippers within 2 business days of payment. EBAY now requires that sellers specify a handling time. I do take my items to my shippers within 2 business of receiving payment but the item does not always ship out the same day I drop it off as they are very busy and there can be complications that delay shipping. EBAY also now requires sellers to specify return policy and there are only TWO choices--returns accepted or NO returns! I chose no returns as I am not selling my items on a trial basis. However, should an item be proven to be significantly not as described I will consider taking a return if notified within 24 hours of item being received. For payments made with e-check will wait for payment to consolidate in bank before shipping. Please bid only if you are certain you will be able to pay for this item and do so within 1 week. Local pickup is OK but item must be paid for within one week and picked up within 1 weeks of payment unless other arrangements are made prior to end of listing. No shipping to P.O. or S.P.O. boxes. No international shipping except Canada. Shipping is 375.00 dollars to Canada. I will not ship this item without full insurance, which means if you live in Canada you will pay whatever duty fees are involved for the selling price. Buyers in Canada will also be responsible for any fees charged by UPS as I ONLY ship UPS. Please don't ask if I will do international shipping (aside from Canada) as part of the reason I don't is because I don't want to answer a bunch of questions about international shipping! Potential North American buyers may feel free to ask questions about the item and I will answer them to the best of my ability. Shipped signature required ONLY.
Oh Yeah - Return-Enter key broke on my keyboard.

That's one hell of a rig - wish it was in the UK - I would be tempted right now.
And what a paragraph that is....I got spots before my eyes after the sixth line - very informative however if you press on through the migraine!! |

| i typically play fenders, but if i was looking for a modern amp i would choose a mesa, they have that great fender clean sound with a great sounding distortion. i mostly use just pedals through a twin reverb.but mesa's have a killer clean sound which does not get much props. |

| I think this rig, to someone looking for mint Mesa gear, is worth more than the BIN price.. If you're trying to re-create an era, it'd do the 90s really well, but the MarkIV is an amp that can do virtually anything.. and will hold its resale value. |
