It's still possible to find them at reasonable prices. I've paid about 35 each for mine. I suspect (but it's not confirmed) there's is MIJ and MIT versions of all brown pedals. MIJ versions will naturally cost a little more.
The PQ-3B is probably the hardest one to find. The CE-2B is the easiest. Note also that the CE-2B came in two different versions with the knobs being the only difference. |

| HI ace!! I was able to complete the brown boss pedals in notime. They are not that hard to find. Bossarea is right, PQ3-b might give you some trouble and the GE-7B might give you some.. : ) |

He Ace,
Guess we have the same idea. I'm also looking for all brown pedals. I am still looking for the GE-7B. This is what I paid for the others: CE-2B: 55 BF-2B: 25 PQ-3B: 100$ LM-2B: 120$
PQ-3B and LM-2B came with box and manual. LM-2B came as new from an American shop that was selling its old stock.
Good luck in your search. Maybe we end up bidding against each-other for a GE-7B |

Who knows Britsie . I saw an GE-7B on www.oneguyoneguitar.com. They want $75 for it. By the way i paid just 25 euros for my LM-2B. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me! |

25 for an LM-2B is a very good deal IMO.
Note that my prices include shipping. From America that is about 33$.
By the way, what are you still looking for Ace? |

Right now im looking for a BF-2B. I already have a LM-2B and i just ordered a CE-2B from the states. For me the 'two equalizers' have lower priority cause i play on an active bass and i personally think i have more than enough tone shaping options. Of course i have no idea how dramatic the changes can be with a boss equalizer. |

I have the BF-2B (MIJ; ~$45 no box or manual), CE-2B (MIT; $60 w/ box and manual), GE-7B (MIJ; ~$35 no box or manual), and PQ-3B (MIT; ~$60 no box or manual). I paid way too much for the CE-2B (it was a 'Buy It Now' item, and I never even received positive feedback from the seller), but that one and the PQ-3B are both in my BCB-3 bass pedal setup.
p.s. just out of curiosity, has anyone ever seen a MIJ PQ-3B? |

Now that I looked at the release dates I can see that the GE-7B, CE-2B and BF-2B were released 87 while the LM-2B came 90 and the PQ-3B 91. I initially thought that they were all released 1987 because I knew that 9 pedals were released that year. It may be only the 3 first of the brown series that comes in both MIT and MIJ versions. I've never seen a MIJ LM-2B either. |

I just received my PQ-3B, the first tests showed that the changes in tone are very dramatic but very nice. |

| Anyone wants to rate the brown pedals: Which is the most useful? Which one is overrated? |

I'm completely dependent upon the LM-2B whenever I play the bass. My technique is rubbish so the LM helps me a lot. Haven't tried the LMB-3 so I don't know how it compares to the new one.
I also find the PQ-3B very helpful but I normally use it with guitar. |

| I use all of them because they do what they are supposed to do but just like Bossarea I can't compare them. |
