Hi

I'm a newbie, and want to get a solo act together using a loop pedal. When I've played through an amp, it sounds very busy with two guitars coming out of one speaker. Is there a way to send the looped signal to one speaker of a PA and the live signal to another?

Another question is, if you lay down the first track, say just a tap for 4 bars to use as a time keeper, or percussion, can you the lay down a rhythm part of a greater length say, 8 bars, or does the first layer always determine the length?

Any help from the experts much appreciated.

G'day InTime and welcome!

One way to do this is with an A-B pedal. Put the RC-2 and one amp in the A-leg. Create and run the loop. Switch the A-B to the B-leg where you would have the second amp.

Good advice Laurie.

As far as your other question InTime, the answer no. Nothing can be longer than the base loop.

Thanks for the welcome and tips everyone. So I can separate out the signals OK, but I'm restricted time wise to the first loop. OK, I guess I can work around that, but I wonder if the other loop stations could provide an answer to that.

BTW I'm actually a Limey in Hawaii

Ha! A Brit in Hawaii with an "Australia" location... I'm guessing there is an interesting story to that

If the Boss loopers just won't do the trick for you (boo!), the other looper that gets a lot of good reviews is the Digitech Jam-man.

Oops, entered the wrong current location ...not Australia ...nothing against Aussies mind you I be sure to check out the other loop station. I love the small compact RC-2 though.

Just one final fling at this question, just to be clear. On the bigger machines, can't you have two separate loops of different lengths running side by side. Aren't they like two RC-2 in one unit?
