Seriously, Why on Earth did you not go for this one in the first place?? Does not have any bids so you will be the first one, fresh in the garden to dart around and make anyone else know that this is yours, but no, what do you do instead? Bid on a pedal which is already at a price of 42,- Did you really want that switchbox? Is it worth the extra fiver?
You see I was thinking of withdrawing as the price was getting too high. You as well as I know that SD-2's should be around 30 not above the 40,- range, but the high price did not deter you from putting a bid. Oi what is going on here???
I felt like getting out of it, but then I also know that the 25,- will end up like 35,- or even a bit more. All in all the switch box is worth the extra fiver, but the switch box did not attract me in the first place, I have already so many on those switch items, and I am sure you have them too so..................
Again I am just poking fun, but seriously I do not understand your motives for going after a pedal which is already quite high.
This kind of bidding makes up for hyped prices. We should not.
Here are some rules with regards to Ebay where we all should live by:
Bid early Bid high, so it may deter others from further bidding When you notice price is too high, stop bidding as you just spoil it for others...............have patience and think like: "This pedal will come around again" They do eh? None of us is new here, I am probably the youngest here out of anyone of you, so learn from those mistakes you made in the past.
No point in competing against each other................
Okay anyone of you, do notice, I am having fun with all of this, but I am NOT having fun as it comes to paying prices which are way too high, think none of us like that so...............................Please STOP the Competition against each other!!!
Oh well, who ever said that competition is what makes us stronger??!!
I am going now as I just start to repeat myself so........................do take notice chaps, NO more of that!!!! |

Hehe, yes I agree that it shouldn't cost more than 30 but the average price is about 40-45. I could use the switch in this auction so I think it would be worth the extra fiver. Anyway, I didn't get it but there will be more, many more.
I never bid early. I prefer to bid as late as possible. The con is that I keep forgetting about auctions until they're over. I'm well aware of the other one that you linked to but there's no guarantee that I will be near a computer when it ends. Yes, I could bid early but I think it will just push the price up.
I don't think we'll be able to stop the competition until we all have a copy of every pedal out there |

I share your views there bossarea, you are ever so nice in your replies.
Talking about the switch, do you know that an A/B box will do that trick as well. Works on the DS-2, so should work on the SD-2 as well as it is a switch of a similar type.
Do you have an A/B boxes around at your place? Just try it. Sustainpedal for electric piano [or keyboard] will do it as well, you just need to hold down the pedal and you get the other sound. Very cool for short phrases where you use the other sound of the pedal.
Great eh that some Boss pedals offer all these sonic "tricks"?, Guess that is why we are still using em |

Yes, I have an AB-2 and it works. Only problem is that the AB-2 is battery operated with no adapter input jack. I used to have a Roland keyboard pedal that I used for on/off switching but I left it by mistake in a rehersal room so it's gone, gone, gone. Damn, I miss that switch. Maybe there's another one on Ebay

Yep, or a Bespeco latchswitch, but then you would not be true to the Boss fans eh? So yeah, you need to do a search on a Roland Sustain pedal. I think I have a little booklet somewhere which tell you the type of footswitch it is, so you may be able to order one, but no................ebay should be more fun than ordering, more luck involved in the game, ...............will keep my eyes open for one and let you know as soon as I spot something of that matter. |

Doh, I managed to forget about the other SD-2 selling on Ebay today. It sold for 27 while my mind was miles away. |

I noticed your reply today, went first to the Ebay link and was surprised not to find your name there, then I read your post and that explained it all. Yep you need to stay on the ball, there is competition out there, and often it is fierce.
Gosh, really a good price for the SD-2 eh? This is what you get when people bid at the last minute. Really makes all the difference.
So now you need to hang on until another comes around. |
