Howdy again! I'm back with a 2nd DOA DD-3. It's another early one w/ the full-width chip & big AC jack. I repaired a similar (slightly earlier, same version) pedal for a friend from another forum (ShortScale.org) last month and it was all due to help from you folks. I'm hoping for another success as I've bought this one for myself!

This pedal passes dry signal through both outputs just fine. LED comes on normally, even correlates to the hold function vs. S,M,L delay times - I'd guess that means it's switching modes correctly. The pedal had a greasy coating of something, only a little made it's way into the body of the pedal. I cleaned it all off with a light application of contact cleaner. Also, the pots were physically sticky & so I sprayed them w/ contact cleaner as well. Light corrosion on some of the solder joints on the back of the board, but nothing worse than I've seen on many other 100% functional pedals. Not sure how to re-touch joints like this as nothing seems to make solder flow back into them. . .

Any guesses on how to test for why there is no effected signal?

I took a few pictures of the board to see if that'd help someone more knowledgeable than myself point me in the right direction. . .

Back (solder side) of the PCB:

Front (component side) of the PCB:

Of course, I'm quite happy to take more detailed/specific pictures if needed. So - any ideas? :D

Clean it off some more with some isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and a toothbrush.
It'll break down the grease and remove it.
Some of your tracks maybe corroded off and is causing an open.
'Pecially north of the NE5701 opamp. Lower left in the solder side pic.

Yeah... definitely looks like maybe a ground break from corrosion in the lower left of the pic.

Today i bought a DD-3 pedal with the exact same fault, i took a toothbrush and cleaned the solder side of the board, after that i tried the pedal but it didn't work so i decided to spray some contactspray on it, it came back to life immediately!!

Now i've got a very cheap working DD-3! (we'll see for how long but at this point it's working)
