anyone here use the OD-3 to saturate their gain channel?

i've taken it out from in front of the amp and put it in the effects loop on the gain channel on my amp with great effect.

i never realised how good this pedal souns driving another gain source.

Yes, it's my booster for the distortion channel.
But I also use it for crunch sounds for the clean channel.

I have a 2-channel tube amp but with the OD-3 I have three "channels".

Of course this has one disadvantage:
I want the sole clean channel and the clean channel & OD-3 to be set to the same volume level.
So the boosting of the distortion channel is not done volume wise but only saturation wise.

i see your problem. on my head there's two effects loops each with an efx volume knob so you can have it giving crunch on the clean but louder on the dist.

nice....
