Nice! With the high price of gas, that car should save you a bit of $$ in the long run..

Congrats DeFrag. Toyota Corolla is a good car. We are paying $1.45 per litre which works out to just about six bucks for an American gallon, and our dollar is close to par with the U.S. Dollar. Carbon tax will kick in on July 1st, here in British Columbia, raising gas another couple of cents per litre. This whole energy situation is quite the onerous bastard.

In europe and it's aready started... in the U.K(i'm sure bossarea and a few others will chip in in this....) they are starting to look at using electric cars around london with power points dotted around for recharging..they are also waiving the congestion charge in and out of london if you drive an electric car as far as i know..... part of the reason gas prices are so high is,yes people are speculating on the price of oil because there is so little of it left..!!! maybe less than 50 years worth....i don't want to turn this into a political discussion as the Boss asked us at the start no to do politics or religion but part of the problem is (and i'm not having a go at the U.S.) is that i america there seems to be a tradition of 'gas guzzlers' when it comes to building cars and even now when we know how little oil is left and the effects of global warming they are still churning out stuff like Hummers...i've been to New York several times and i think the smallest car i was in was my friends and that was a Lincoln Towncar which i think he said had a 5.0 litre engine..... i would need to be a major shareholder in Shell to drive a car that size in ireland..... the era of cheap gas is coming to an end for all of us..there was also an article in the papers tha a lot of bands in america who do the college circuit and frat parties during the summer months are giving up and cancelling because it's not economically viable for them to go on the road because of the price of gas(this weeks sunday times for anyone who's interested) for my own part i've been reading up on fueling our own Ford Transit with cooking oil which is becoming increasingly popular with diesels..if you don't mind driving around smelling like a mobile KFC......
