Yes Visserman RV-5 is very nice sounding, I just bought a Fender Champion 600 amp (very, very good!) and started to use RV-3 as reverb for it, didnt sound that good so I tried RV-2. Well, maybe a little better but not there Then I tried RV-5, and a few here at the forum has said that its the worst Boss-Reverb (probably including myself), to my surprice it sounded great with the Fender, plate-reverb. For this amp RV-5 is without question the best Boss-reverb!

Hi Goran,
Nice to see you guys are all still here, great to keep all this info going.
It is a surprise really to see that on the whole board there is are not that many postings about the Boss Reverbs at all.
I tend to use the RV2 a lot, and it does have a tiny little whistle to its sound, I tend to believe this is a designfault. Apart from the whistle it is also a little noisy compared to the RV3 and RV5.
Went though all the pages of the compactpedals yesterday to see if any people had posted on this subject before but nope, could only find a few topics and most of them were by myself regarding reviews comparing both RV2, RV3 and the RV5.
Keep up the good stuff!! |
