Hi folks
For my new dirt pedal, I decided to go for a Blackstar HT pedal. They seem really good for the price, especially with the tube inside. The only thing I really can't decide is if I'll go for the HT-Drive or the HT-Boost. I will use the pedal only with my tube amp, and I'm looking for a solid classic rock sound with a Gretsch hollowbody. The HT-Drive seems cool for recording and stuff also, but the HT-Boost will be propably better for pushing my tube amp into overdrive. I know several people on the forum have the HT-Drive, but I don't know if anyone owns the HT-Boost. Can someone give me an idea how they sound and which one is best for what I'm after? Thanks in advance

I use Ht-Distx (heavy dist) and am saving for the ht-dual and there brilliant pedals. The nail the sound I want perfectly and have great built quality. I don't know how well the lower gain pedals handly hollowbodys so I guess you'll have to try them out, they might not be so good I don't how

Oh, I see your using it to push a tube amp, the boost would probaly be your best option then  |

I�ve had the HT-Drive and I didn�t like it so well, too much dist and of the grainy sort. But that�s a personal opinion and don�t say much for anybody else.
With a Gretsch hollowbody I would definitely go for the boost.
A cheap and really good booster is the Marshall Bluesbreaker 2, nice overdrive too.

I'm also using a Ht-Distx and I love it so far. I'd play around with a few of these at a local shop with your hollowbody to see which exact pedal would work for you
