Hi All,

Had anyone ever tried a behringer RV600 Reverb machine? Its plastic but I'm itching to know regarding the sound quality. I always take care of all my boss pedals and not really stomping too hard (no stage tap dancing scenario). I just turn to a hobbyist and not currently in a band due to marital status. It is a clone of the line 6 verbzilla but I don't want to spend 100 + $ for an effect that will not be used often. just adding a bit of reverb on some clean song parts that I am working on. Boss RV-5 is also on the same price range of verb, also too steep for me. Although you should really test it out when you are buying but if I may, I want to know first what are the impressions of those who had tried or owned 1.

Thank you so much!!!

Hi Arpeggios_0_Hell10

The best thing with BehringClone or any other gear,
is to try it out, before you buy it.
Tone is very subjective.

The RV600 is the newest version of their Reverbs.
I had a brand new in blister pack (never opened) RV100
the older model.
I swapped it for a beat up MIJ CE-2, that I fixed about a year ago.

I do know that the RV100 was OK for guitars, but NOT recommended for singing in to.
Not that it's got bad reverb settings,
but more because of the massive impedance mismatch between the Low-Z (approx 600ohms) of the SM-58.
and the Hi-Z (1 Meg ohm) inputs on the RV100.

If you're on a very tight budget, as many family guys & woman are.
There is worse stuff around than the BehringClone pedals.

Can I ask you what other pedal brands you can find easily in your country?

I can tell you to stay away from the very first version of the Ultra Chorus (yellow coloured one).
It has a very mild/weak chorus on all settings, even maxed out.

Regards Dr. Bob

PS if you have ALDI supermarkets in your town, some of their budget
Livinstone ($20-$30)pedals are actually pretty good.
I did a write up a few years ago on their SD-1 & DS-1 clones.
I have nearly a full set of the fist batch.
Their SD-1 cone is actually an exact copy of the SD-1 MIJ circuit.
Even has 4558's in it.

On evilbay, these are also sold under the names of Freedom & Daphon, some even have tough metal cases.

Regards again Dr. B

I have an RV-100. It was the reverb on my board before I got into Boss pedals and bought a decent amp.

THe RV-100 is a good workhorse pedal. Never gave me a day's trouble. Just be careful mechanically... Behringer is pretty fragile.

If you have the cash, I would recommend trying a Boss RV-5, or perhaps even better the RV-3.

I don't think the RV-5 has as many settings as the verbzilla clone. I never tried one though.
