I am not a pedal guy and I certainly never had a multi-effects board...until yesterday. I took the plunge after a great deal was offered, and bought myself the ME-70.
I find it to be a really fun little device that offers a great deal. My amp provides all that I want in my guitar sound, but with the ME-70 it is now nice to have some fine chorus coming out of my VOX AC30. The Rotary setting is also a great addition to anyone's playing. Some fun stuff on the ME-70.
How do I know exactly what effects are involved in the Pre-Sets? Is there a way of knowing? The chart in the instruction manual is very vague. When a Pre-Set is called up, certain indicator lights next to the number pedals come on, but that doesn't tell me what effect is in play. I'd like to know exactly what effects are involved so I can tweak them for my own user patches.
In particular there is Pre-Set 3-4 -- "Jazz Sound Suitable For Neck Pickup." That patch is real nice, but I would love to tweak it just a bit for my taste, yet I don't know exactly what effects to tweak!
As I said, I'm new to effects and with so many staring me in the face with this ME-70 I find it hard to make adjustments -- especially if the Pre-sets give no info on what effects are in play. |

With the preset loaded, press "Edit" ("Ed." appears in display) - now you can modify the preset. If you just need to read out the settings without changing any value, keep "Edit" pressed and move the knobs - the value will show up in the display without changing anything. (User Manual Page E-12) |
