I just found an old pic of my old board alongside my brother's.
I sold the ODB-3 and traded the Whammy for an old Morley power wah boost pedal, one of the chrome Cliff Burton style pedals.
My brother replaced the chorus with a DD-3 and added a tubescreamer.
This pic is 2 years old I think, nice gig btw.

Nice Pedals! This is my latest acquisition, hope you like it! (I really love Boss stuff, but i must admit that I prefer My CS-9 from Ibanez over my Boss CE-2... and this one realy DOES sound so analog and warm as my CS-9!)

Hi dodino
I really like your new Ibanez CCL dual Chorus. (Series 10 case)
What does it sound like?
are there any sound samples of it on the web?
Do you have a CE-2? & how does it compare.

Regards Dr. Bob

I'm going to build my own pedal board soon. which will allow for a lot of pedals. I have a great idea in my mind i'm still stuck on some little bits but i have it mostly plotted out in my head. i'll draw it up and show you guys and then you can comment.

be warned this is a quick draw up!

I like this design because i can put the pedals above each other enabling easier access to the pedal. i hate having the pedals exactly behind each other like i have now. but i didn't like the idea of having a very big and tall pedal board to carry around. so then i came up with this ideal which will still keep the pedal board slightly flat when in transport. the only thing i haven't figured out yet is where to put the power etc. i plan on using 2 or 3 voodoo pedal power sized supplies. if those are too big and i can't fit them then i would need to line up quite a few standard boss power supplies. any comments would be greatly appreciated. (except those concerning my lack of drawing skills)

Here's my newly built board. I used shelving hardware from Ikea for the base and the rear riser. There's room underneath to add a power strip and an adaptor for the pedals. That will be Phase II along with painting the thing or covering it in Tolex or something. I also plan to add an amp handle for carrying it. The pedals are held in place with those plastic cables ties: I drilled small holes on either side of the pedals and ran the ties around the pedals, through the holes then secured them underneath.

The running order is: guitar -> TU-2 -> PH-3 -> BD-2 -> DS-1 -> CE-2 -> TR-2 -> amp. One switch of the FS-6 is for setting tap tempo on the PH-3. The other switch can switch channels on my Cube 30 or engage the crappy overdrive on my Electar Tube 30.

Overall, I'm very pleased indeed.

I seem to be having a problem uploading the image file. here's a link to it:

Cheers

Hello everybody!

IN answer to Dr Bob's question... The CCL Dual Chorus really reules! I bought it used in a local store for only u$s 65!!! I've "ebayed" it, and it is the more expensive chorus on Ibanez's list! More than CS-9's!!! (Buy It Now = u$s 100)...

It sounds QUITE SIMILAR to my CS-9... tha was another grat business for me: bought it at a local store too, only u$s 80!!! Made in Japan, 1st issue, Black Label and early serial!!! Those on ebay are worth more than u$s 150!!! And here, in Buenos Aires, it's a bit difficult to find good vintage stuff and in nice shape...

I think I'm going to buy a Voodoo Lab Analgo Chorus now, because I don't want to risk my other chorus pedals! Hahaha!

Sorry, I forgot to mention Pros and Cons in comparison with CE-2... Perhaps most Boss fans would kill me, but I prefer my Ibanez CS-9 more than my Boss CE-2!

The CS-9 sounds SO WARM, ANALOG, BEAUTIFUL!!! It seems to have a wider range of sounds than the Boss one, but I must admit tha both are great effects...

The Dual Chorus is pretty similar to my CS-9 (but I still prefer this one). Furthermore, it allows yo to play with your sound adding some flanging effect and setting the delay time for this... nice stuff! There's one on ebay, u$s 100...

See you!

Diego

here is my current pedalboard..like most others here it's always under 'redevelopment'..... i'm hoping to get a analogman bi chorus in the near future..and maybe a xotic rc booster to replace the cs3.... the plan is use the cs3 and the ch1 on a small 'board with my ge7 and a dd3 and a volume pedal for my acoustic instruments......
