I know they are mentioned by Caliban and FRANZONI but are there more of you who tested these pedals ? the idea of a tube in a pedal sounds interesting.

Here's the site http://www.blackstaramps.co.uk/products/ht/index.html
For some reason there aren't any soundsamples. I think soundsamples definitely helps selling pedals, I myself never would have bouht my Artec 'crazy metal' if there weren't any soundsamples on the Artec site.

Yep i agree....i would like Blackstar to put up some decent sound samples of their pedals but there are some demos on you tube....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3G5S4tS_EOA

it's in french but you can hear the pedal pretty well,i have the twin tube classic by seymour duncan and it's a great pedal... the lead channel is really good for fattening things up but a bit muddy for rythmn so i was playing with the idea of getting one of the Blackstar distortion pedals for a 'fourth ' channel..i.e bypass is my clean...twin tube=light crunch and lead drive and then a distortion pedal like the blackstar for heavier distortion for general use...the ISP control plus the fact that the Blackstar pedals have a full EQ section appeals to me as i think it would be very versatile soundwise.......also the output from the twin tube, the boss distortions can't come near even maxxed out and the twin tube is only at about 10 o 'clock volume wise....and i don't play extremely loud..just enough to get the valves cookin'.........

Nice find FRANZONI...
That's a great sounding pedal.

What do they typically retail for?

Hi FRANZONI & Guys

A quick update.
I found that the local distributor-importer, has a retail outlet just 5 mins drive, up the road from me.

Sadly they are around $299au for the HT-Dual, which is out of stock.
But they have the Drive booster pedal for about $245au.

Hey FRANZONI, are these they ex guys from Messa Boogie Engineering, that I think you or Zentropa, wrote about in a recent post.

I was pleasantly surprised at the tone from the HT-Dual.
Enough to put higher [(mu)gain] valves in my EHX English Muff'n to see if I could get more sustain from it.

I saw an as-new EHX English Muff'n go for $150au on evilbay just a few days ago, I thought that these were more highly regarded.
They also run true 220V plus volts to the plates or the tubes, and not starved plate mode like a lot of the cheaper tube pedals.

Regards Dr. Bob
