Finally I've removed my old big 17" monitor and some other stuff (like music books, old pedals, etc.) from under the Marshall JCM 900 and I've past the entire afternoon to play...? No way! To turn around left and right the knobs 'cause after months withouth using there was litteraly the rust inside.
After that, finally I've tried my pedalboard with a REAL amplifier: 100w, tubes, dual reverb and... the sound of Tube Factor by Hughes&Kettner seems a fart of a fly!!!
Nothing to compare when I play with Fender Sidekick (15w transistor)!
What a delusion... at this point I need of:
- a good distortion: DS1 or Distortion +
- a good overdrive: dunno... I've tried many but I would like to have something of very hot, I've tried/owned the Boss but I didn't like it, sorry
- a good megaultrametalfragkillheavy distortion: ML-2 or MT-2
What's your suggest? |

as far as metal goes it depends what youre going for. if you want to play metal at rather quiet volumes i recommend the MT-2 or ML-2. if youre playing live and have to turn up i recommend getting a hot OD and mixing it with your amps distortion plus an EQ pedal to really mold your distortion sound. i would say that a OD-1, SD-1 or BD-2 would be best for driving an amp. or if you want the pedal to do most of the work and keep the amp a little cleaner i would recommend an SD-2 or OS-2. good luck |

I meant that I need all three kind of distortions:
overdrive, distortion and mega distortion, 'cause I would be prepared to play anykind of music.
I owned OS-2 until this summer and I didn't liked too much... in fact this is the main problem, maybe I've resolved for dist. and mega dist. but I need a good overdrive. |

| oh i see. well it depends what kinda overdrive you like. i dont know what kind of ODs youve tried yet but theres a million great OD pedals out there. outside of Boss ive heard great things about the Bad Monkey, English Muf'n, Hot British, etc the list goes on. |

I've exchanged Tube Factor with DS1 (new) and OD3 (used, but quite good, just de-painted in the corners).
A good way to remove the glue is the Zippo lighter fluid. |
