Hi guys,

is anyone using their Epiphone Valve Jr. Hot Rod as a tube driven spring reverb???

it has a REVERB out (which when used puts a dummy load on the speaker output)

sounds quite interesting for €199

cheers,
mully

just seen some youtube videos and the reverb (as far as one can tell from you tube vids) sounds SHITE

would've been a cool thing if it would be a good reverb sound

The Fender reverb box (thing that looks like a head but isnt) is $800 here. Can't see why it should be so expensive...

I bought a new reverb tank for an old Twin the other day and it cost $35. The tubes and associated "stuff" can't cost more than another couple of hundred.

This is one of those rare occasions where I just can't see the justification for the cost, no matter how I look at it.

Which brings us back to the original post I guess... if the VJHR was any good at reverb it would have been a good alternative../..

Not quite the same thing but i think Peavey used to make a 19" tube driven reverb unit called the valveverb,a lot smaller and more portable and i reckon a lot cheaper than the Fender tank/head.. ...AFAIK Robert Cray uses a couple in a small rack in a wet/dry/wet setup.....
