It seems that a lot of people are really worried about tone sucker pedals. I need an AB pedal so, heres the question.... Is AB-2 2-Way Selector a tone sucker pedal?

If its passive (no battery inside) it is no tonesucker.
If there is a battery and its only there to feed the LEDs its also not a tonesucker.

There is a battery inside it and the switch stops working if the battery is removed so I asuume it's not only for the LED.

Bossarea is correct. It uses the flip-flop circuit. I don't want to have that battery die while I'm playing, so I sold it. Tone suckage is negligible at the worst. A 9VDC jack would have been nice.

Still, I think that battery will last you for a year or two. Just a matter of taste.

Does the FS-5x or FS-6 use batt power for anything but the LED?

LED only as far as I can tell. I think it's still usable w/o a battery.

I thought the FS-5 & FS6 used flip-flops. Hmm, I wish I had one to test. Did you guys try them out to confirm they work w/o a battery?
