Hey gang! New to the forum (wow, is there a lot of info here!). Picked up a non working CE-5 (thank you, craigslist!). The input and one of the output jacks had been removed. Replaced the jacks, and,... well, bypassed, I get a clean signal. With it on, I get... a clean signal. The LED comes on, but the controls do nothing. I've measured some points on the board, ie the IC's, and they seem to be getting voltage. I'm just wondering if a part of the flip flop switch is not working. Is there a simple way to bypass or jumper it, to see if the switch is the problem? I'm sure the info is on the forum somewhere, I'm just not sure what terms to use in the search engine. This is the older analog version with the MN3007, if that makes a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated... I would love to get this thing working again. Thanks in advance...

G'dau madboy and welcome!

If the LED comes on the flip-flop and switch are working.

Have you tried a fresh battery? Can you confirm the Filter Low and Filter High knobs do "nothing" when the LED is on? How about the E Level knnob - anything at all?

Does it look like someone has been fiddling with the trim pot on the board?

Hey! Thanks for the replies... fresh battery, and the knobs do absolutely nothing. I gave the trim pot a spin while playing, and no difference. As I mentioned, the jacks had been removed before it came into my possesion. I THINK I wired it up the right way. I get a clean signal through both outputs... although only one output has a jack on it. I tested with a signal tracer. Would it help if I gave you guys the voltages from the IC's? Thanks again!
