Hello.
At first sorry for my bad English.
I'm looking RDD63H101 controller - large chip used in BOSS DD-2, DD-3.
I can not get anywhere in Poland. Can someone from colleagues can advise where I can buy it and they may have to sell? What is its price?
Yours

Welcome to the forum!!

Chances are those chips are out of production, thats why Boss went to the newer chip. You may be lucky enough to find a NOS sitting somewhere.
You could also keep an eye out for broken DD2/3 on evilbay, and scavenge the part from there.
What you need it for, Delay clone...

As far as I know this is a Hitachi chip. Even if you can get hold of it it will be useless for you since in needs to be programmed with Boss DD2/3 software.

I think this is an ASIC/VLSI gate array type of chip. Therefore, even if you are lucky enough to find a replacement, the code that Boss used to implement its functionality will be still missing (as Dirk mentioned).

Hi Wolf
Welcome to the forum from Australia.

Can I ask why you need this IC?

I have never had to replace one, & I know Laurie is the same.
And he see's many more DD-2's & early long chip DD-3's than I do.

What is wrong with your DD-2 early DD-3?

Perhaps we can help you repair yours?
It's probably some other part's.
Or perhaps you are fixing one of the Micro racks?

Do you have the Schematic?

Regards Dr. Bob

Hi Wolf
I have no access to these parts.

Depending on what it's worth to you?
You have a couple of choices.

You could scrap it & use it to repair other Boss pedals.
we all have a few really dead pedals in our goodies boxes.
Or.
Perhaps you would have better luck emailing various Roland-Boss dealers,
in different parts of the world.

Good Luck
Regards Dr. Bob
