I just got mine in the mail today and I really love the sound. It's the perfect overdrive in my eyes. It can be rough when it needs to be or just a nice milder one too. My only problem is that sometimes it cuts out the sound. When I have the pedal off, sometimes there is no bypass signal. Sometimes in the middle of playing, there will be a very noticeable volume drop (and sometimes it is completely silent). It seems that is only happens when I first plug it in. It's like it needs to "warm up" for it to work properly. Is there anything I can do? Thank you!

G'day!

Very strange... couple of the usual basic questions:
1) does it do this with a known good battery and/or using a PSA adapter?
2) might it be something else in the signal chain? If you remove the OD-2R does it still happen (even just a little)?
3) are the plugs on the leads all "clean"? (give them a wipe with a clean cloth)

4) Are the pots loose?
If the pots are loose, they can rotate & short against the metal case or other internal parts, this happened to one of my Not-Working MIJ SD-1's, it was a 2 min. fix.

5) If you're not sure, please upload some internal pictures.
