Just picked this up for $40. It's a 1987 black-face with LM308N chip.

Hi Laurie

Congrats.

That might be "Lucky Dust", under the knobs, with special acoustic properties. from the early 80's
Looks in really great condition.

Who would have believed we would be drooling over a pedal that uses an LM308N.

When these IC's were new & modern, (sowing my age again)
We tried to steer clear of using such a crappy performance Op-Amp.
You even need to use a compensation cap across pins 1? & 8?, to stop it self oscillating to death at around 50MHz plus.

Now we all want one....

BTW, what's the date code on the IC.

Date code is 86 on the IC, and 87 on the pots. Just posted a pic of the internals above.

Wow, that's fantastic. I'd love to be lucky enough to just find an '80's proco rat. Finding one for $40 is double icing on the cake.

Jeff Beck used on for a while...and of course the band Blur,graham coxton used one on song 2... you can see him in the vid for the song jumping on it for the heavy part...... nice find.....
