My first ever pedal was a DS-1 about 3 years ago, it's all been downhill since then, pedals, pedals and more pedals.
I haven't really had any great steals but last year I managed to get a DM-3 for 80 and a DM-2 for 77 which is significantly less than what they can go for now. |

I've got some great stories, but now I'm off for work, but I want to raise your expectations.. :)
How about:
- The yellow pedal in the trashcan..
- The double at the auction..
or the
- Quintett at the student..
Aint that a good triology? |

May 2008.. That's when Boss' disease hit me, i had a MT-2 and a NS-2 for years at that time and was actually totally happy with just those two pedals but i thought i wanted a delay pedal just for fun, i started looking the internet when i came across an ad with for a BCB-6 and 8 pedals, i contacted the seller and bought them. amongst others it contained a OD-1ss and a ph-1r which i wanted to know more about and i started looking the internet and unfortunately i found bossarea with all its gas'sing members and it got me too, this is my collection now:

+9 boss pedals i have two of.. |

Yeah, without the DD-6, the collection is quite small, isn't it? Nah, I'm just kidding, great collection!! |

Very nice collection Mesjoggah! Are those all original boxes? or do you just store them in box bottoms?
I have a handful of BOSS stories, but most of them involve me scoring some cheap pedals at work.. very well-priced and numerous TW-1s and OD-1s.
I also randomly ended up with 2/3 of the traffic light set, both serial #9200.. now I just have to find THE EXACT RIGHT SP-1.. mmhmm.

Dammit Mesjoggah, that's one helluva collection!!!
My story is pretty typical. My first Boss pedal was a GE-7 that I scored for 25 bucks at a pawnshop in mint condition back in 1996 or so. My next one came shortly after in the form of a EH-1 Enhancer, bought for the same price. I was hooked at that point. Since then I've scored most of mine from either pawnshops of ebay for cheap.

I have to say it's when I first started playing guitar in 2002 (I'm originally a drummer). I went down to the local Guitar Center to pick up some gear. I came home with a BC Rich neck through deluxe warlock and a Peavey Studio Pro 112 amp.
After a few months I grew tired of the amps distortion and needed something more. I went back to GC and found, you guessed it, a used metal zone in like new condition for $40. I also found a used NS-1 and GE-7 for $30 a piece.
When I got home and hooked everything up... Never looked back!! I still have all that gear |

This one is not that good as the others, but I don't wanna sleep yet, so here it comes...
I looked at the webb for Boss pedals, and found a SD-1 for 30$. OK, I thought. I can pay that.
Done and done.
I got it today and i've been reading alot here about MIJ and many other things, so I checked beneath my SD-1, and found that it was made in Japan. I looked up and smiled and checked the serialnumber.
Like in the other topic, it was made 1981. Sure, there's plenty more Boss pedals, who is way, way more expensive and attractive etc... But I did only pay 30$, and i guess it's worth twice the price.
So I was very happy to found that out today.
Now i'm gonna serch for some more ( the GAS is killing me ), and then bedtime... |
