I'm glad I bought a Slow Gear clone kit for $65. I'm more interested in what the actual effect is than having a collector's item though, but if I had money to burn, yeah, I'd get it, but not for $255!?!?!?!

Yeah you, me & a thousand other guys, StratoSphere.
Oh wait I just found one! NAH......... just kidding.

I have my (new to me) $90 Aust. EH-2 unit Number 246 .
Just have to wait for the SP-1 & the SG-1

Maybe tomorrow at the pawn brokers, or at a garage sale

I know it's nice to have them all, but let me tell ya guys, I broke out my SG-1 last night for the first time in a long time, and I forgot how pretty useless it is. If you actually wanted a useful version of it though, I'd recommend getting a BYOC version and tweaking it. I'm sure you could tweak a real SG-1, but that'd just be foolish. It could just be my early one though, I know that on the Boss BR-8 I have; it's got a Slow Gear patch that works way better, too bad anything I record I couldn't easily duplicate live, but that brings me back to the BYOC one, and how I've been meaning to buy one for a while. Does anyone own one of these? Have you tweaked it at all?

Thanks for any responses

Guyatone makes an SV-2 Slow Volume that is essentially a clone of the SG-1. As far as finding one for $50 at a pawnshop is concerned, I would not count on it. The pawnbrokers all know how to look stuff up on ebay now too.

I've been looking at the BYOC one a lot, I really want to have a go at building my own pedal, but the only reason I want the Slow Gear is because it's cool, I don't really have a use for it
