Don't know for sure scrappy1, but I have a SS DS-1 long dash July 81 with black screw.

I remember Bossarea posting once (or maybe more) that some time in early 1981 the switched from silver to black screws.

Hope this helps.

Orignally posted by me:

Now, would it be ethical and/ or correct to swap screws on these two pedals?
CS-1 is #050100 April 1981
Is that Silver Screw-able?

As far as understand it now, all 4 digit ink stamped serials are silverscrew except the latest serial which is 0500 can already have blackscrews

scrappy1 do you have a box with your sd-1 ?

So the silverscrew sd-1 has serial 0300 and 0400 I guess, so if I'm correct silverscrew sd-1's are made for only two months ?

The only SS SD-1 I've seen pictures of so far was an 0300. I reckon some with serial 0300, 0400 and 0500 could show up. Most 0500 pedals I've seen has had silver screws. Unfortunately I've only seen one 00xx00 pedal so far (It was a black screw PH-1R) so it's hard to say how many of these was SS/BS.

Pedals available in both long/short dash versions:
PH-1r
CE-2
TW-1
OD-1
SD-1
DS-1

I think it's only these 6 but memory sometimes fails me.

Those 5 digit serials has confused me for a long time. I'm not perfectly sure when they were made. The serial decoder currently assumes that 10300 was made the same month as 0300. Not sure whether that's true or not. This is based on not finding any 5 digit serials higher than 10500.
