Yup, that's the one.
Use the serial number decoder to find the production month.

what do you think about this one; it's a 81 one
the d1 component that should be where the H is printed is not here but seems to be near the green component above the H and the opamp is named on the circuitboard and has 2 golden marks!
first time i see that!

That's the ET-28E board. This PCB will match the schematic that you can find on several internet sites. The other pictures are of the later ET-28F board which was introduced within a couple of years after the E board. I'm not sure what the schematic differences are.

I got my Boss SD-1 today, and i noticed that it was made in
Japan.

I didn't know that when i bought it. So i checked the
serialnumber and it shows that it was made December 1981.

I payed 30$ for this pedal. Was this a good deal for me?
I mean a REALLY good deal?

Does anyone know how much it's worth?

I mean, i don't expect 10000$, but it must cost
more than 30$?

And the biggest question.
WHY are Japanesee Boss pedals more
attractive and more expensive than
Taiwan made?
Is it because they don't manifactures anymore,
and that they are very old.

It is mainly that they sound better than the new, Taiwan made and that they grow in collector's value.
Have no idea what the price is in Sweden. Check evilbay to get a rough idea.

I see...Thanks.

Looked at Ebay, and i didn't found any Japan SD-1. But the taiwan made was about 40-50$ mostley.

Do you think mine is worth more or less?

Yup, MIJ is worth more. Although I don't see why, I don't think they ever changed the circuit. But hey I'm old enough to remember when it said MIJ it was the crappy one!
