Hi, kelmaur
The PSM-5 doesn't really turn the pedals off, when engaged the signal goes through the send/return jacks therefore the other pedals are in the chain and can be used. But when you disengage the PSM-5 the signal goes through the guitar/amp jacks and the rest of the pedals are no longer in the chain, they may still be switched on but can't be used when using the guitar/amp jacks. |

I'm not sure, maybe. But someone else might be able to answer that for you. |

hi,
it's only one loop that can be switched on and off....
you can however put pedals after the PSM-5 you wanna use all the time...
for example
guitar -> od pedal -> (guitar jack) PSM-5 (amp jack) -> delay pedal -> amp
(send jack from PSM) -> wah -> filter -> EQ -> (return jack PSM)
this way you can turn the Wah / Filter & EQ combination on & off with one footswitch....
it is quite handy
I use it for my magic overdrive sound
and here comes the secret...
use a compressor in front of a distortion pedal
turn up the compression knob fully clockwise and turn down the output volume of the compressor until the distortion pedal cleans up (no turn it slighty clockwise again so that you have a small amount of break up)
this results in a super smooth overdive sound |

i have it hooked up to my chain just like it says in the book
when i disengage the PSM-5 all of my other pedals led's are still on
just bypassed..
They mean that the pedals are bypassed. There is some loss of meaning sometimes in the translation from the japanese. |

so it can be used as a line selector so to speak
for example:
5 effects in this chain
5 effects in this chain
with the PSM-5 can you switch between using i set of 5 to the other set of 5 |

Almost, but not quite. You only have one loop so you can switch between using a chain of pedals or bypassing it. If you want to switch between two different chains you will need the LS-2. |

I put guitar to the guitar jack tuner into the amp jack pedals after the send jack to the amp input. When the indicator light is GREEN, my tuner is active so I got silent tuning When the indicator light is red, it send my guitar signal to the amp, so I use it as an input A/B switch, and powersupply and I don't get that nasty PSM-5 Humm problem. |

Hi Kelmaur ... yes that is the correct way to set it up, according to the manual and the foil label on the bottom. |

It's not really a pedal in the tonal sense. its more of a switch not in the tonal sense. So most dont' know its value of what it can do. so you can get them pretty cheap |
