I had never heard about the Artec brand of pedals and bought the Fuzztown a couple of weeks ago; http://www.artecsound.com/effect/index.html As you see there are a lot of different pedals, and the prices are very good. Quality boxes and sturdy built, the Fuzztown has surface mounted components (but I dont think this is entirely bad). I like the Fuzztown pedal, it has two fuzz circuits in t, they can be combined/blended for out of phase sounds and more conventional things. This is a very good idea, I dont know if anyone else has tried this before (two fuzzes in one pedal).

they are pretty cool, but i think its best to try one out rather than sample a clip over the web
They DO LOOK very sturdy and high quality ... |

I guess they are the same.
Hi sp-1 & Guys
I guess you are right as well. One of my friends bought the Washburn Wah, & inside it had "MADE BY ARTEC", all over the PCB's
And the PCB build quality was very poor, not a good sign, considering the components were mostly surface mount.
Some of the solder joints looked like they were done by drunken monkeys with bad hangovers, on a Monday morning.
The Wah worked well enough, & it used a Hall effect magnetic sensor, for the variable element, but because of it's poor build quality; He has since sold it off.
Can anyone with an Artec pedal please upload some internal pictures, they might have improved their game since the Washburn wah.
Regards Dr. Bob
Sounds like real craftsmen ,when you are a monkey and drunk on monday morning and you can get some solder on the board R-E-S-P-E-C-T

I can get you a picture of the inside of my delay, it's not terrible, from what i remember.
Maybe the monkeys sobered up a bit? |

I noticed they are going cheap on ebay usa. And I would like to know what other people think of these pedals, I know I like mine and the soundsamples on the artec site sounds very nice.
