I had never heard about the Artec brand of pedals and bought the Fuzztown a couple of weeks ago;
http://www.artecsound.com/effect/index.html
As you see there are a lot of different pedals, and the prices are very good. Quality boxes and sturdy built, the Fuzztown has surface mounted components (but I dont think this is entirely bad).
I like the Fuzztown pedal, it has two fuzz circuits in t, they can be combined/blended for out of phase sounds and more conventional things. This is a very good idea, I dont know if anyone else has tried this before (two fuzzes in one pedal).

I use the crazy metal as my main distortion right now, the lows stay tight even with my 7 strings, great distortion

they are pretty cool, but i think its best to try one out rather than sample a clip over the web

They DO LOOK very sturdy and high quality ...

Washburn seems to release some effects that looks exactly like the artec ones.

I guess they are the same.

Hi sp-1 & Guys

I guess you are right as well.
One of my friends bought the Washburn Wah, & inside it had "MADE BY ARTEC", all over the PCB's

And the PCB build quality was very poor, not a good sign, considering the components were mostly surface mount.

Some of the solder joints looked like they were done by drunken monkeys with bad hangovers, on a Monday morning.

The Wah worked well enough, & it used a Hall effect magnetic sensor, for the variable element, but because of it's poor build quality;
He has since sold it off.

Can anyone with an Artec pedal please upload some internal pictures, they might have improved their game since the Washburn wah.

Regards Dr. Bob

I noticed they are going cheap on ebay usa.
And I would like to know what other people think of these pedals, I know I like mine and the soundsamples on the artec site sounds very nice.
