I mean the thing eats batteries so quick and there is huge volume loss when i play it with other pedals
I tried putting the pedals in diffrent order, switched 9 volt battery adapters, swithced cables around nothing
The only time it seems to work is when i play it alone and theres no volume loss
HELP I'm freakin out
I wouldn't even bother using batteries with the DD-7 as it sims other analog and all sorts of boss stuff...now this i know from using the line 6 stuff.....
if your using it on a simulation it faithfully creates to the best of it's ability not only the good bits but the bad bits too...so for example if your using a DM2 setting and the original drops your normal volume by 20/15% this can be a prob for some people,if your using it in 'straight' mode..i.e normal DD3 type delay..... it could be a problem in the pedal itself....
i have to stress here that i don't know all the DD-7's specs but i'm assuming it's something like the FDR-1 ..i.e a COSM type sim of classic and new boss effects..... if i put my Line 6 Pod xt pro (which is as you know bro'... )is a digital modeller.. i experience a volume drop, but this is a rack effect so there is lots of parameters i can mess with to compensate......if you have or can get a lend of a regular DD-3.. try this with your set up and see if there is any improvment...i use two DD-3's as i like to be able to 'tweak' my delay on the fly,the newer one for long and multi taps and the older one for short and slapback.................
Q.... are you using any sort of high powered active pickups in your guitar...........??..........
My DD-7 is sitting calmly at the end of my chain and not dropping volume or killing my regulated supply. No issues at all being driven by another digital pedal, or with analog pedals in the chain. Completely transparent as I would expect it to be.
