Congrats. The DM-2 is worth $200 alone so it's definitely a good price. |

Tell her how much it's really worth... and then don't sell it.
That's what I do.

ok here we go
Dm-2 $200 Psm-5 $50 Ce-2 S150 DD-2 $120 Ph-2 $55 Hm-2 $50 Bcb-6 complete $80 Total:$705
I know i am gonna here about pricing now. These are the going rates on ebay.I have been buying and selling many of these pedals for the last few years and this is what i have been getting for them. they are worth far less as a whole. But buy themselves they are worth more. as for the woman i always say i had it you just never seen it.I got so much gear anyway it's easy to hide. |

Well I totally got it with out a second thought, of course, I knew my wife would want to kill me but i did it anyway. I just need some help explaining top her what happened sop she does not try to kill me.
I need all of you guys to chime in so she understands that force that took me over in that store!!!!
How could any boss freak pass that deal up!!!
All made in Japan
The DM-2 is Aug 82 The DD-2 It March 85 The Ph-2 June 86 The HM-2 - May 85 The CE-2 is unknown the label is worn so I can see the code.
Grey battery tab, does that help date it?
All Sound great!!
From Zero DM-2 to 2 of them in 3 weeks, I am in love.
The DD-2 is so sweet sounding too. DD-2 and CE-2 my first exposure to wonderment of boss.
Gotta love pawn shop days like this, if only a vb-2 was sitting on there.
I just need a DM-3, and i have the Delay family complete!
Love it all!!! |

I always tell my wife I sell some of my other stuff later, but I don't off course, which she knows, but it works for us |

Hi Gizzorge
Congratulations
You have my support, explain to her just how much Dr. Bob has to pay for these in Australia, now that dollars all over the world have gone to Sh!t.
Were are at 0.668c to the US$ at the moment.
BCB- anything cases sell for heaps out here, same with the rest of the pedals. The CE-2 sells for $130+ same with the DD-2, sometimes even more. The DM-2 is fickled, it seems to sell for many different prices.
I wonder what the Pawn shop actually paid for it?
You're a lucky man Gizzorge, most of the Bossarea members here, dream of a find like this one.
I fairness, find something nice for your wife as compensation, even perhaps dinner at a fine restaurant, and a show or a movie as well, maybe some flowers & chocolates, for being so understanding .
Or every woman's favorites, New shoes or a new handbag. Remember, you cannot pick these yourself, men have no ability to see the subtle differences in shoes & hand bags. Oh Yeah, NEVER complain about how much!!?? or why did they pick those, with a look of disillusionment on your face. Yes honey they look fabulous. No your bum doesn't look big in those jeans/dress. Of coarse I want to go visit your mother in law.
PS - Don't forget to mention to her, that the Everready 9V battery was FREE... Regards Dr. Bob |

..i use that line as well to justify my latest purchase....i normally let her get something as well or if she has already bought something like a new phone or camera etc.. i can usually sneak in something small..next one is a pickup for my Walden mini jumbo acoustic....
Congrats Gizzorge on the pedalboard..there was no way you could of walked away from it as everyone has pointed out(and you knew already bro'.. ) the DM-2 alone was a great move......and the CE-2 and the DD-2 are the icing on the cake.... ....i remember getting my CE-2 and flipping it over and seeing the MIJ label...it was hard to keep a straight face in front of the seller....

So are you keeping all of the pedals? Or selling some?
It's kind of a weird layout having an HM-2 at the end of the signal chain after delays and modulation pedals. But maybe the pedalboard wasn't ever hooked up in that order until it was in the pawnshop. |
