Hi Folks!, Im'new here.

I'm nog into old and obscure pedals, but I liked my DS-1 so much, that I found this forum. I've never treid the difference between Japanese and Taiwanese pedals, but what I do know, is that I like my MIT DS-1 which was actually build this year. So what if a 1983 MIJ sounds a little better? I like it the way it is.

Anyway. This thursday I went to the store - yes to the store - and bought a DS-1, an MD-2 and a TU-2. All made this year. All Taiwanese. Oh, and I still didn't own a wah, so I bought a Crybaby as well.

That is, I already got a CS-3, an FDR-1 and an FBM-1. That's right, I actually started my boss pedal collection with two brand new pedals. I already had an Line6 Echo Park & Über Metal, an Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail (my first pedal (!)) & Double Muff, an Ibanez CF-7 & SYB-7. I started with pedals when I was a bass guitarist in a band. Hence the syb-7 & holy grail which were my first pedals. No pedalboard yet, though. Am thinking about building one, but want a few pedals more. Some of which I'm waiting for (don't even want to buy them all at once, even if I could/can), some of which I'm not certain of (yet).

So yeah, I'm a player, not a collector. Oh, and I'm Dutch. Making that statement here might actually be humorous given the fact that Dutch are known for keeping things cheap. I guess it shows then? :)

Haha, I guess we have to cause everything is so f...g expensive here in Holland compared to the states or other countries.

Man, I love eBay, finally we have the chance to purchase cool stuff which would normally only be available to the US or Japan.
Plus, it's a lot cheaper that way, I can't tell you how many stuff I allready bought online in Germany.

Anyway, welcome man, it's always nice to see other Dutch people in here.

Groovy, I just won a GE-7b, the old brown bass EQ on Ebay.
And whaddaya know, it's also here in Holland So that saves a lot of postal costs.

It's gonna look so cool next to the CE-2b and the BF-2b, all brown pedals 3 down, 2 to go.

Ok, in populating my pedalboard with Boss I had originally purchased the BD-2 & a day or two later the OD-3 for comparison. I opted for the OD-3 & it has performed wonderfully.

Thing is, I didn't have a good biting crunch so now after 6 months or so, I went back & bought the BD-2 for permanent residence before my PW-2 & MT-2. I'm glad I did. The BD-2 has just enough oomph for my style of playing that has been missing all this time. W00t!
