What does everybody think of the new Marshall Pedals ? I'm asking specially about the Guvn'or and the Jackhammer... What are the difference between this distortion and distortion/overdrive boxes respectively? In distortion mode, what are the differences between the Guvn'or and Jackhammer ? Which one would you reccomend? Any personal experience with them? There are also a chorus/vibrato pedal (The Regenerator I think), and a digital delay pedal (Echohead I think).. What do you think of them? Have you used them?
I'm always searching for the ultimate distortion, and I was really thinking of buying the new Guvn'or pedal, they have available here and they cost less than $ 100.
Opinions? |

I have a vibratrem and the ED-1 compressor . . . the vibratrem does good vibrato and OK tremolo. (It kinda boosts the signal when it's clicked on) I really like the compressor though, it sounds great and does everything that I have wanted it to. Those little silver knobs are a bitch to see when it's a little dark, so you don't want to have to change settings during a gig . . . other than that they're pretty decent.

I recently bought the Supervibe chorus and I must say I like it a lot. It sounds like the chorus wich was build in some of the first valvestate series. great stuff!!

I use the Guv'nor pedal, but only when I'm on the bridge pickup, which is RARE but I still like the sound. You can make it very smooth sounding.

I had a BluesBreaker 2. Was neat cos it was both od/distortion and a halfway clean boost. It sounded ok I guess. I imagine the clean boost mode with the volume would have worked well with a valve amp, oddly it kinda worked for my solid state, but the main problem with the drive ciruit in this pedal is that the tone control only adjusts the treble, and the mids and bass are preset, i dont know if the guvnor is like that.
