hey all. i need some advice. i recently bought a DD-2 with a broken pot. however, the pot that was broken was the "MODE" pot. its a 4 postition pot and not just a regular 0-10 pot. does anyone have any info on these, or even a link to where i can buy a replacement?

I've tried getting hold of these too. As a last chance desperate attempt I contacted the distributors for Alpha Taiwan and ALPS who supplies the parts. They wouldn't let me buy any unless I ordered at least 1000 switches so in the end I had to give up.
Roland may be able to help you if there is a current pedal that has a 4-way switch. I was looking for 3-way switches and they didn't have any of those. |

Thanks Bossarea, i will contact Roland Canada, OR find 999 people who need the same switch as i do. i dont know which will be easier. |

This sucks. 
Boss pedals are known to be durable, but this could be the peril of owning them: replacement parts may no longer be available by the time it failed under normal (non-abusive) use.

I would have thought that Roland can help you since that pot is the same as the one on the DD-3 which is still in production.

| well, to my surprise, Roland Canada got back to me today. they gave me a phone number and the item number for the pot!!!! the only catch is i have to buy a minimum of 15 bucks worth of stuff. i hope they sell boxes!! |

I will see if I can get you one, I know a guy who knows a guy who is friends with a girl who knows a guy if you know what I mean buddy (BTW You are a Guy too? ) Anyway, There is a dude here who has a shed full of electronic bits and bots so when I return home I will ask him, beleive it or not he had exact knobs for a microrack effect that had knobs from some other unit that I needed
Has the pedal come yet? CS-1?
