I just ordered BYOC's Lazy Sprocket (SG-1 clone) with the free Booster kit for my son & an Orange Micro Crush amp for myself! Early Xmas presents for each of us.

I think the BYOC is ideal for him to get into electronics & think every guitar-playing musician should know SOMETHING about electricity, mixers, cable types, impedance, etc. It took a while to explain balanced/unbalanced to him but he's getting it. He's taking 2 guitar instruction classes & a recording class using ProTools. Next semester he'll get into classical & I hope, some jazz. It'll put some hair on his chest! |

I agree. I found out about BYOC 3 years ago, now I am about to finish my 2 year Electronics program. I love BYOC stuff, I even am one of the mods on their forum. If you run into any problems with building the BYOC stuff, just go to their forum, as its the nicest place on the net after BossArea...
I'll need to post some new stuff I got in recent months, but just haven't gotten around to taking pics of it...
Lets see, here's a preview of what I gots lately...
Telecaster #10 ...I guess I still have a Tele addiction...
A Blackheart Killer Ant/Killer Cab...
And a V shaped guitar...pics coming some time this week I hope...once I get finals taken care of... |

Congrats on the Tele, Ant, & V! Awesome.
Here's some news about BYOC.. I ordered the kits by noon yesterday & they're already out for local delivery early this morn! I suppose it helps to know the company is only a couple hours away from my house.. who knew? Still, 18-hour bliss!

You're lucky to live so close by because it takes my BYOC orders about 5-6 business days to get to me since I am on the east coast...though I did get a beta/prototype via USPS recently...its a fuzz...it'll be SUPER once this FUZZ is released... |
