So what would win? Anyone got any experience with both?
I'm always looking at pedals on eBay, and have realised that I could probably sell my secondhand TU-2 and recoup almost enough to buy a Korg Pitchblack brand new.
In perusing the internet, I'm finding it difficult to find a reason why I wouldn't? The Pitchblack seems to do everything the TU-2 does, except better?

Reasons for getting a Korg Pitch Black -
1) It's true bypass
2) It's more accurate

Reasons For getting a TU-2 -
1)
2)

Yes, I can't come up with any. Am I missing something?
Your thoughts please...

your correct

BUT

If you want a tuner which can fit in a BCB-30, only a Tu-2 would fit. I dont need a tuner for a bcb-30 but just wanted to find one positive thing. I would be lost without my tu-2. Pitchblack does look nice, takes up less room on my pedal board

Don't forget the Turbo Tuner for a bit more money with it's True Bypass as well but .02 cents accuracy. It looks to be a bit smaller than the PitchBlack as well.

I use the pitchblack, it's great and it looks cooler than the TU-2.

I'll just stick to my tried and trusted TU12 Tuners.

After what must be years of use they're still all I'll use.

Hi Guys

While I still use my trusty & (Dr. Bob calibrated) TU-12.
I have been tempted to get myself a PitchBlack for my live rig.

I have looked into the Turbo Tuner, but they are not readily available here in OZ.

Regards Dr. Bob

+1
Bought one early in production and direct from the "inventor", even spoke with the guy. Btw he's a real nice guy too.
When the pedal version came out got one of those too.
Bummer they are not readily available in OZ and or some other places.
Maybe some here on the board could take delivery and re-ship to OZ and or wherever. I've done this for some of the guys on other boards.

TU-2 is a super tone sucker!

Haven't tried the new pitchblack, but it was recommended...

I've been using a TU-2 for 11 years now...on and off the road...used with different pedal setups, and have noticed no tone suckage whatsoever. I've been hearing this for years but I'm not convinced. Sorry guys.
If you hear suckage in your TU-2s I hate it for you. My tone is not suffering from using a TU-2...if anything, my tone suffers from my playing, not my choice of pedals.
