I'm not sure if it's the spider..but one of the new line 6 amps had a valve output section designed by Reinhold Bogner ..if it's the spider it would be the one to check out.....

Hi reverend xx & Guys

Which model Spider are you talking about?
Micro Spider.
Spider Jam
Spider III

Or is there some other newer one?

Just off topic for a second...
Any good news about getting the powers at be, to make MP3's (podcats) of your radio show?

Regards Dr. Bob

I got a Spider II. It's an ok amp but nothing more.
It's only got 6 built-in amp models and it lacks a bit of dynamics and sounds a bit flat. For low volume practising it good but when I push the volume, it can't hack it.

My mate's kids have a Spider - not sure which one. Agree with Bossarea - it's OK (for kids) but not something I'd invest hard earned $ into.

i've always kinda despised em. i remember when GC was pushing em hard because their contract required a huge floor space % on em and the employees loved selling em cuz the margins were great.

99% of the time there's something much better for cheaper.

The Line 6 Spider Valve is a pretty good sounding amp.
