what are you referring to as an IC..what i know of an IC i dont see in this pedal...(black chip w/ legs) i see the op amp 7 pins right above R14..

By IC (integrated circuit) Laurie is referring to the op-amp, which is an IC.

Your 1 uF capacitors (the blue ones) look very small size wise, especially C9.

Are you sure you got the right values installed ?

Lots of good general observations, but I still contend that the best approach is to use a probe to trace the signal... based on where it stops we can then make some informed comments about what is wrong.

i bought the parts from zentropa here...so whatever was sent to me in the seeing eye mod package from him.....it better be the right parts..

the blue parts you refer to say :

R5E
105M
343....three of them say this....and the fourth

239........

Yes, they seem to be the correct parts for C2, C8, C9 and C14 .

I haven't seen 1uF capacitors that are so small is size. The panasonic ones I use are really fat.

What brand\type are they ?

getting ready to make this probe....found some parts that are supposedly .1uf (ceramic)...they have 104K on them and the other parts i have that are .1uf have 105 on them....isnt there a difference in value with 4 zeros versus 5 zeros..i remember this stuff but am a little rusty on it

Yes, they are probably mono-block ceramic capacitors.

Maybe Zentropa can shed some light on this and comment also on the their sonic qualities.
