I received my NOS XT 2 and so far I'm not to sure about this pedal. I did a search for the appreciation thread cause I think I'm gonna need it but I couldn't find it, seems a bit on the noisy side so if anyone has some good settings I'm all ears

It's the Boss pedal I most regret selling. I got one about ten years ago when I was looking for a pedal that would approximate Joey Santiago's Pixies - era guitar sound. He used these solid state amps called Pearce that had a really drilling sort of tone. I don't normally try to emulate other people's sounds but that was a good one and the XT 2 really got me there.
the XT-2 is amazing...and yeah it's really harsh but that's why i love it, if you want a more usable sound try maxing the first two knobs and minimizing the latter two...then play with the gain knob from there and make small adjustments...i'll admit it does take time to get good sounds out of it but once i got this thing going it hasn't left my board...
and if you can't find love for it sell it to me...
