Some of us has paid a lot of money for some of the rarer Boss pedals, too much (I suppose) in some cases. That doesnt mean that we are stupid, just that we wanted that particular pedal sooooo bad.
So will you tell this forum the truth, which Boss pedal did you pay too much for and why? This doesnt mean that it was a bad buy, or totally overpriced.

For myself it was VB-2, I had searched it for a long time and when I found one on an auction I went nuts and paid $430 for it. When the auction was over I was a bit shaky, I could get a nice guitar for this amount of money. I can also tell you that my wife was stunned, to say the least

I paid a SS NF-1 90.

NF-1 usually go for 30-40. This one had a silver screw. I paid 50 for a screw...

And there is this time, when I bought 10 pedals, for 700. This was a good deal indeed, 70 a Boss pedal, including DM-3 and VB-2 (and other great ones, all MIJ, all mint). But 700, waoh... It was 700 out of the 1000 I won in 3 months (I'm student). My girlfriend is just used to it, so I got nothing from her, but this time, I feel ashamed.

I looked up my collection, and it's hard to believe, but the one most expensive Boss pedal I bought was the DC-2, 120.

But there is this time coming, when I will buy a SG-1 or SP-1...

The VB-2 tops the list for me as well. IIRC I think the auction ended up at $310 in the end.
That's only a tenner more than I paid for the SG-1.

I can't remember the exact dollar amounts, but I'd guess that for my SP-1, SG-1 and VB-2 I've spent approximately $800 USD - Probably a bit more.

Not rare, but I thought $100 for a new Metal Zone was pretty steep, plus $70 for the Keeley Mod, so $170 all together. Now Musicians Friend sells stock MT-2s for $80...

I spent $450 for an SP-1.

It is S/N 6400 and in excellent condition though.

I paid $400 each for my SP-1 and VB-2. The SP-1 with s/n 7600, skeleton switch and silver screw, and is in near mint condition. The VB-2 is in mint condition and has hardly ever been used, and with the original box and manual in the same condition.

my two most expensive pedals are a DM-2 and a Keeley Phat Mod BD-2, 134 Euros each. While I think that I paid a bit much for the BD-2, the DM-2 was a good buy. More often they have been going for 180 Euros or more.

I am still looking for a tremolo or tremolo-esque pedal, so a VB-2 might still come my way...

VB-2 is not a tremolo, its a vibrato and sounds very different from a tremolo. Go for PN-2 or TR-2 instead.
