Hello Dr.Bob (& others)

My amp was based on this schematic.

Some internal pics.

The box is made in MDF painted afterwards. I'll be rebuilding this one, this time on pcb (as my school owns a pcb-etcher (is that the correct name?)).

I'd like to see the FRONT of the cab ... that fabric is making me crazy not seeing it from the front and how the control panel is finished off....

I'll take some pics from the front The control panel isn't finished yet. I still need to mount a LED and a good pot. As I said, I'll be making a PCB layout of this amp and build a separate head (I'll use is as my back-up amp.)

Make sure your PCB is thick enough to hold the valve bases securely.
And it goes without saying be very careful with the voltages in there. Even small valve amps have lethal voltages stored in the capacitors even when the amp is unplugged from the mains

I got a shock while I was working on this amp. Isn't exactly a nice feeling!

I got a belt as well working on the Musicman combo earlier this year...not a nice feeling at all,i was tired and had been working on the amp for a few hours...my advice is if your feeling tired go a chill for a while and have a coffee etc.... especially when changing caps............

Tube Amps carry LETHAL voltages

Always
Turn the POWER to the circuit OFF.

Always
Discharge the Filter Capacitors, when the power is off.

Then You'll
Always
Live to play & fix another one.

Forgot to switch it off. The ground wasn't connected so good, so it fell of. Witloofboer became ground for a second. I was lucky that time, so I'm quite careful with those things now. I could still feel it the next day.

My mistake was i installed a cap the wrong way around and it blew.. and when i went to change it i forgot to discharge the one beside it and got a nice belt for my trouble...scared the s**t out of me... i learned a valuble lesson...when your tired, give it a break for a while..otherwise you can make stupid and dangerous mistakes...
