Well I got my 45.00 brand new DN 2 off ebay and I have to admit the lackluster reviews I've heard on these doesn't hold true for me. I really like this thing. It wouldn't be very good for metal but my strat through this thing smokes, I dig it not to mention it has the coolest paint job of all the boss pedals if you ask me
I've tried the DN-2 on two occasions & liked the bright distortion it produces. It seemed to me that its clarity just punched through & would have like to tried it out in a band setting. I may get one after all. Congrats on your DN-2 Funken!
Hey Guys, Maybe I should make a little vid doing a side by side of the DN 2 and the BD 2 I'll work on that and let you know when its up.
Right foot brother you should check out ebay I see new ones in the 65.00 range all the time now I don't get it it has a real warm OD and Frags right it cuts through very nicely
Is it better than the BD-2? I've heard om someone that compared those two..
That would be subjective. They are 2 different animals, the DN-2 being a bit more limited in its use. The distortions don't sound near the same. The DN-2 sounds with more biting, high-end clarity while the BD-2 is alot more gritty. Of course the BD-2 doesn't sense the envelope as much as the DN-2.
