Hi folks how's it going. I just purchased the boss RC-2 Loop Station, and when in the "Auto" mode, it is not auto-record, when i start playing. Any help would be appreciated. I am using a blueridge acoustic guitar, with a dean markley sound hole pick up. Thanks guys

Let me rephrase, it will auto start, like it should, but it seems the sensitivity is to low. I have pluck very hard and loud to get it to start. Anyone know what to do?

Not sure how a Dean Markley sound hole pick up works but check if it's volume is set all the way up. otherwise you would have to use a line booster pedal inbetween the guitar and the RC-2

Hi DesignLov3
First of all welcome to the forum from Australia.

Which of the Dean Markley sound-hole pickups do you have?
I have the wood (malple I think) looking one.
I could run a couple of tests, when I get time.

Perhaps just post a link to the one you have.
As some of the Dean Markley pickups are active,
& have a Lithium cell that goes flat very quickly, and could be causing your pickup to be low in output level.

Regards Dr. Bob

Welcome to the forum DesignLov3.

I think your giutar/pickup may be the problem. I have the same with my acoustic. I have to use a preamp/booster pedal to get the proper volume out of her. And it just so happens that I use on of Laurie's HZ pedals to accomplish this task.

I concur with the others...it seems like that pickup needs some kind of preamp booster to bring the signal up. I have a Fishman on a couple of Gibson archtops and they behave pretty much the same way; anemic without a preamp.
