Fucking hell, this little thing is a fucking tone machine with my Bogner 1X12 cab. Its the tone i have been searching for pretty much. Petrucci-eske, can do Metallica and will do drop tuning stuff very nicely.
Has a nice preamp gain structure, but start increasing the master a little, the dark art of poweramp distortion really comes out and makes the amp breathe and sound miles better. Takes a Boss SD-1 really well, and my CE-2 really shines thru this amp.
I have nailed the Dream theater In The Presence of Enemies tone with the settings im just about to show with the pics!!!
MXR Carbon Copy in the FX loop.
Anyways heres the pics:

I shouldnt say this arround here much, but i traded my Boss OD-3 and DD-6 in the trade in for it, amoungst many other pedals and a ESP LTD EC-500 OW for it. |

Nice amp. Mesas are great stuff.
As Santana said years ago, when he tried out the first Mk1: "That little thing boogies!" |

Hi ESPImperium
Very, very nice.
Now wonder you are so ecstatic...
Please upload some pics of the back-inside, with out pulling it apart.
I have their 50-50 rack head, I built a modified version of the original Fender 65 Brown Face tube pre-amp, that I drive it with. Running into a Cerwin Vega 4x12 cab on one channel, & a custom made 4x10 on the other channel, that's one bitchin' loud setup.
I can order take-away from the pizza place down the road, if I use it as a PA.
Hey Mario!!! one Pepperoni to go....
Regards Dr. Bob

VERY NICE MESA I've always had a fondness for the F-30 Short Head. Reminds me a LOT of my lil' Subway Rocket. Deceptively loud!! Carrying that thing to a backline gig makes things simple too. |

The many things that i like about this rig are theese:
* Portability (If i want all i need to cart with me is the Head if theres a cab else where. * Tone (Rich lows, defined mids and crisp high end) * Versitility (Rich Fender-y cleans but Recto/Mark IV like tone on the other side) * Takes pedals really well
The only thing is this thing is deceptivly loud. |

congratulations! I echo most peoples sentiments, I'd love to have one. How much did it effectively cost, if you don't mind me asking? |

I traded in 2 Marshall amps for a little Mesa/Boogoe 1x12 combo back in the early 90's. It became the only amp I ever used. I'd bung a Boss CE5 and DD in the loop, and occasionally added an OD2 front end for extra gain. That's it! They're tough as nails too. My vocalist dropped it down some stairs on the way to a gig once... picked it up, plugged it in, and it was all fine. Not one of the tubes had even cracked!!!
Sold it about five years ago. Amp simulation nowadys for me. |

Have taken out my CE-2 for a CE-5 in the loop. But for more gain i use either a TS9 or SD-1, dont want to turn it to mush. Am planning on getting a MXR GT-OD or a Fulltone OCD. Altho, id like to see what a Boss OD-1 would sound as well as a few Maxon OD pedals as well.
The effective cost was this:
Deposit: 120 Traded In: Boss DD-6, Boss OD-3, EHX LPB-1, Digitech X-Series Chorus, Vox Satchurator, ESP LTD EC-500 OW [traded in a Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Buzzsaw for that guitar] (229 total trade in value) Post Trade in Payment: 154.
Next thing for me to do to my rig is get a GCP, G Makor and a Axess GRX4 Guitar Router Switcher for the rack and im more or less there.
Altho i can see that part of the rig being put into place more next year than this. A Les Paul and getting my Strat fully fixed up to where i want it to be is more or less the rst of they year with a couple of pedals flung in where i can. |
