| Wouldn't it be cool if there were sound bytes on the different effects pages? |

Yes, it would and there will be.
I will start working on the sound samples as soon as the "all boss products" expansion is in place. I hope to publish this update before x-mas and start working on the sound samples from January. Just keep in mind that time estimates often break.
We should start discussing right away how the sound sample pages should be. I will obviously need help from everyone on the forum to provide me with the samples but please give me ideas on layout and information that need to be added together with the wav or mp3 or whatever. |

Great idea to get an overal idea of what a particular pedal sounds like.
Bossarea, have you heard all the pedals of the homepage? |

No, there's still a couple I haven't listened to yet.
My first thought is that every sound sample need to have information about guitar/amp and everything in between. There should probably also be some information about how it was recorded and obviously the settings of the pedal being used. No problem if 10 persons made 10 different samples of the same pedal. They would probably use different settings and different equipment anyway.

Very true Bossarea, however one could still get an overall idea what a particular pedal sounds like, so it would be a starting point for people who are interested in a particular model.
People would still have to check for themselves if the pedal really sounds like the soundbite, but I guess it would be a great starting point for someone who is not yet sure about which pedal to choose from.
For the die-hards it may be different, some of us may want to play any pedal available, just to see what it feel and sounds like. Most of the time you will find a use for them anyway, but I agree, you need to be a bit of a freak for that, but aren't we all like that around here |
