I've owned a number of ACA pedals in the past, and the ol' daisychain solution has always previously done the trick - My old (ACA) TW-1, PH-2, CE-2 have all worked fine when connected alongside another (PSA) pedal. However, my recently acquired FT-2 does not: The LED will not light properly at 9v even with a daisychain.

Is this just a problem with the FT-2? Are there other particular models for which a daisychain does not help? And can anyone point me towards a mod to solve this? I can't be doing with another adaptor on the board, and batteries are not an option.

Remove the diode and resistor in series with the midle pin of the 9V plug on the pedal.
Short circuit that line in the PCB
It will then work OK with the PSA.

I was messing with the order of my pedals last night, and suddenly the FT-2 started working fine. MAYBE it was the adjacent pedals (i.e. next on the daisychain), maybe it was something else... Who knows, i'm just happy it's working fine without having to mod it from stock.

Are you sure the pedals were all connected with both the power supply daisy chain and patch cables between them? If you unplug a patch cable, the ACA pedal will cease to function with the PSA pedal and power daisy chain.

I'm sorry - thank you for the quick response and mod information. To be honest, i'm a bit worried about doing even minor mod work to my Boss-babies. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to be neccessary.

That's possibly what happened...
